I feel guilty

for not wanting to watch the 9/11 tv movie that has created all the hubbub. Everybody knows that nobody really paid too much attention to terrorism before the twin towers. Expecially Clinton and his administration. Bush didn't have time to do much after he got in and before the big attack. Still you would think that the bureaucrats in state and fbi and cia might have been warning people about these things. The sad truth is that I really don't expect Congress to do anything about this kind of a threat.

In any case, I just didn't want to watch it. It was my wife's birthday yesterday and we took off for the weekend. We got back tonight and spent a little time with our [adult] sons and then hit the hay. I just couldn't gear up for the effort. Does that make me a bad American? I will put my flag out tomorrow to remember, but I really think that Republicans may suffer in the midterms from plain old fashioned fatigue. Not so much dissatisfaction as "I am tired of living with it day in and day out and the press is ridiculous in it's reporting."
