Today's Most Amazing Story

Bill Bennett did nothing wrong. All the blogs and all the newsies agree that Bill Bennett is a good man and not racist (see Kos). They say he clearly did not have any intent to argue in support of abortion for any reason. They also agree that what Bennett said was true. If black babies were aborted, our crime rate would be reduced. The outrage is over the fact that people are offended that he would say it out loud. Their feelings were (or might be) hurt.

At least he admits that he doesn't understand it. There can be no debate in this country because everyone is afraid to speak. The liberal side of the country if far more restrictive of civil rights than the conservative side. If you say the wrong thing you are branded a racist, a sexist, a homophobe, a capitalista, a hypocrite, a supporter of big corporations and insensitive to the poor. The left's speech code is the greatest impediment to honest discussion and solution creation in our society.
