TIGER WOODS
I wonder whether I could make any meaningful comments on today’s news and events. Let’s see.
First, Tiger Woods was in a car accident early this morning according to new sources. The breaking news reports said that it happened at about 2:25 a.m. (nothing good happens after midnight). He was alone. Alcohol was not a factor. He was ambulanced to the hospital, treated for cuts and bruises, and maybe for his variable state of consciousness.
The most interesting information found in every news report I saw was that the accident is under investigation and charges may be filed. Also, the ESPN reports say that there is no issue of domestic abuse. What? Why is this even raised? What could the charges be? Negligently caused accidents are never charged by the police as a crime. Sometimes a driver causing an accident receives a ticket for a violation of the traffic laws. To place the words “domestic abuse” in the article is ridiculous. It is a tabloid headline trick.
I do not intend to prejudge anyone, but please, just give us the facts that you know to be true. Let the commenters comment.
WHITE HOUSE PARTY CRASHERS
Of course, this is a story. How bad is security at the White House? I could get right up to the President and his wife by just showing up for a party?! Don’t worry the couple went through a metal detector. Really? That’s your defense? That is pathetic. I can imagine any number of weapons that might not be made of metal and that might have caused serious injury to President Obama. I do not want him to be hurt. I do not want another Democrat martyr who we will have to worship for 50 years.
MICHAEL JACKSON – THIS IS IT (Movie Review 3/5)
As a [mediocre] musician I enjoyed this movie. It was fascinating to watch Michael try to communicate to the band members his vision of a song and them worship his creative strain. I could have done without the Al Gore type environmental message that we only have four years before the damage we have done to the earth becomes irreparable. Without arguing the science of that assertion, this movie is not the right place for the discussion.
